How to watch recordings with AGVCR

AGVCR records the RTP packets from the Access Grid video and audio streams and lets the user play, stop, pause, fast forward and rewind a previous recording.

Using AGVCR

  • Once you have installed the AGVCR, open the program

  • First thing to do is to set the Stream Apps
  • Click FileSet Stream Apps

  • Set the correct path for AG Audio and AG Video
    • You can download prepackaged binaries for Windows and Mac here
    • Linux systems with Access Grid 3.0.2 or higher will already have vic and rat in their $PATH, /usr/bin
    • Windows systems will have to run a Search to find vic.exe and rat.exe
  • Click on Ok

Opening a File

  • Click the folder icon in the File:: section

  • Browse to where the AGVCR recorded file is and click Open
  • Click the icon that looks like a rocket ship. When you mouse over it will say Launch Stream Apps

  • The Video (vic) and Audio (rat) applications will now pop up
  • Click Play in AGVCR
